I have approximately three years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children,
and am nationally certified as a Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, allowing me to treat across the lifespan.

In addition to maintaining a private outpatient practice, and consulting privileges at several local hospitals,

I am currently working in an acute care psychiatric facility where I treat patients on the adult, acute,
and youth units and cover all daytime admissions and emergency room transfers for the facility.
This patient population is severely mentally ill and/or chemically dependent.

The youth and acute units accept many patients whom are wards of the state, so I have extensive experience
testifying in court, placing youth and adults in government-funded facilities/foster homes, and working
closely with government agencies in all aspects of the treatment process. In addition to routine psychiatric
medication management, I collaborate with a medical team to treat non-psychiatric diagnosis, such as chronic
pain issues, genitourinary disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, thyroid disease, asthma, respiratory and
skin infections, sexually transmitted diseases, and family planning/contraceptive issues. I collaborate daily
with pediatric and adult endocrinologists and neurologists, to treat diabetic and seizure disorder patients.
I also treat juvenile and adult offenders and work closely with the justice system.

I have broad experience treating culturally diverse populations.
My Bachelors of Science in Nursing was a traveling program, the focus of which was providing care for rural,
indigent, and underserved communities.

I am interested in employment on an inpatient or outpatient basis. I am flexible as to the hours and days
I can work and am open to traveling to rural and underserved areas. I enjoy treating patients with medical
co-morbidities, and patients from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I especially love working with children,
adolescents, and families.
