Small, rural hospital in western Washington state is establishing a hospitalist program and is in need of a physician assistant or acute care nurse practitioner. In-patient Medicine in a Hospitalist position. Provide high quality and cost effective medical management of patients under the care of the hospitalist program. Collaborates with the hospitalist care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient care from the point of admission to the hospital through discharge and handoff to a community care provider. Recent acute care experience required. Should be comfortable with and have the ability to perform thoracentesis, paracentesis, cardioversion and lumbar punctures. You will love this charming Victorian seaport community with terrific outdoor activities. Seattle is less than 2 hours away. Job is 24 weeks a year with variable shifts, 7A-7P, 10A-8P and 7P-7A.
